Peter Maurin: Apostle to the World
Dorothy Day with Francis Sicius 2004

Dorothy Day began to write Peter’s biography shortly before he died, but never finished the book. Her writings are paired with historical context, describing Maurin’s early village life in southern France, and the many influences on his spiritual and philosophical development.

Peter Maurin: Prophet in the 20th Century
Marc H. Ellis 1981

One of his first biographies, this is a wonderful scholarly look at Maurin's history as a Christian Brother, itinerant worker, and primary thinker behind the Catholic Worker philosophy.
